Adrian Cocaro
Director & Head Coach
Adrian is a true football enthusiast, a passionate and knowledgeable coach from Sydney, Australia, with over 13 years of experience in coaching football. He has spent several years playing men’s senior football across NPL 1, 2 & 3 leagues with multiple clubs, including Central Coast Mariner’s Academy, Northern Tigers and Paramatta FC. Adrian’s passion for coaching began in his teens and he attributes his success as a player to the knowledge and experience he gained through coaching. It was while playing senior football that he realized that coaching was his true calling and decided to pursue it as a lifelong career. In 2014, he completed his Diploma of Sport Development, and followed it quickly with his FFA C-License, after which he moved from grassroots coaching to the NPL where he worked across SAP, Youth & 1st Grade levels.
Adrian’s love for football runs deep, it began in childhood with his family, supporting the national team of his heritage, Uruguay. For Adrian, the love of playing and watching the game came before the love of learning the game, and he firmly believes that a passion for the game is the foundation for learning. With this in mind, he is determined to create the most effective and enjoyable football learning environment possible, where players can play the game in their own unique way. Through this, he aspires to mentor players to become the best version of themselves by allowing them to intertwine the solutions they discover in the game with the strengths and creativity that they bring to the field as a person (and hopes to guide other coaches to do the same). Adrian is convinced that football is for everyone and is determined to nurture lifelong footballers, regardless of the level they aspire to reach. He is committed to making sure every child has the opportunity to reach their full potential on and off the field.
